Sales Tax/Proof of Purchase
Sales and use taxes are collected for all orders invoiced after January 1, 2013 in all state jurisdictions which have a state sales tax including District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
The majority of the products sold by Oakley Sales Corporation is subject to your state use tax unless it is specifically exempt from tax; Your purchase is not exempt from taxes merely because it is made over the Internet or by other remote means; Your state requires purchasers to report all purchases that were not taxed and pay tax on those purchases, and that the tax may be reported and paid on your state individual income tax return or by filing a consumer use tax return (dependent on if your state imposes a use tax and a return for remittance of payment; Your referenced forms and corresponding instructions are available on your home state website.
Oakley Sales Corporation may be required to inform your state of the total amount of all of a purchaser’s purchases.
Outside of the United States we charge the following tax:
- Federal and Provincial sales taxes will be added to all orders shipping in Canada.
- 10% GST tax is inclusive of all orders shipped within Australia.
- 17.5% VAT is included on all orders shipped to destinations in the UK and Europe.
When you place your order online, we provide an estimated sales tax. Actual sales tax will be calculated and charged at the time your order is shipped.
Proof of Purchase:
When purchasing online at Oakley.com, Oakley.ca, Oakley.com.au, Oakley.co.uk or Oakley.jp, your packing slip, sent with your shipment, serves as a receipt. If you purchased Oakley product through an Authorized Oakley dealer, their receipt serves as your proof of purchase.
